Why are they so few games in the BPL this Saturday March 7th?

When the provisional fixture list was drawn up, the usual

Sat / Sun / Mon games that would normally have been scheduled for:

7 / 8 /9 March were rescheduled for Tue 3 Mar / Wed 4 Mar

to leave the following wekend & Monday evening dates free for

FA Cup Quarter final action :

FIXTURE congestion. Top teams in CUP competitions. TV schedules.

Players just back from 'African Nations' performances - due to play in the

CL gravy train (BIG money at stake). Advertisers & Sponsors demands for

maximum TV audiences.

IT's that TIME of year, when LEAGUE matches are subject to revision, change,

alteration - to MEET demands of The MONEY funders/investors TIED into 4 or

5 year deals - which covers the cost of FATIGUED players 'earning' £15 million

pa for playing - in red or blue shirts with LOGOS marked EMIRATES or QATARI

airlines - for the attention of MILLIONS of global TV audiences etc etc etc.

SKY TV have just promised a huge INCREASE in their investment in the EPL -

which will obviously sustain bigger transfer fees and wages - bigger TV audiences

BUT might kill the goose laying the golden eggs.
