Raspberry Pi TTL Lead for B+ Model?
Hello!
I am relatively new to the raspberry pi, but have heard about TTL to USB cables which allow me to use RPi without any hardware. However, I have only seen it used in the B model, and wanted to know if it's availeable for the B+ model. Also, I have a number of unused USB cables. Could I strip one of them, and attach the appropriate connector (which I have), and use it as a TTL Lead or are there any risks associated with it?
Thanks in advance!

Yes, it's available for B+ (and all other models of Pi). Yes, you could make your own - the risk is of course that you might get it wrong, and either it does not work, or you make connections that fry the Pi. When ready-made cables are so cheap, it's not worth it.
One thing about these cables is that they only support text-mode communication, so they are OK for doing a quick setup, to get wifi or ssh working, then you switch to using ssh with X-forwarding so you can use graphic programs (seeing them through your laptop screen - still no need for a screen on the Pi).
