How does Ellen DeGeneres get paid from her show, The Ellen Show?

She gets paid by the network, which get paid by commercials that the network airs.

Her show is broadcasted to millions of viewers around the world. Independent stations collect money from local advertisers and pass along a percentage of that all the way up to warner bro's. Warner bro's then pays ellen per episode as well as everyone else that goes into the production of each show. She also has many other revenues from things like advertising herself (cover girl) as well as being paid to make appearances and host events due to her celebrity

Even if you get the tickets, you still have to be in line, first come first serve, thus the Riff Raff Room. I do not believe the show pays for transportation to or from the show, that would be a financial idiot move.
