What makeup should I wear for prom?
Hi! So, I am NOT a makeup expert. It's a good day if I put on some mascara. But it's my senior prom, so I figure I should start looking for makeup ideas and try things out.
My dress is black and white. The top is white and the skirt is black. I'm going to wear teal shoes and a teal purse thing.
I have brown/hazel eyes and brown hair. I am sort of pale right now but I tan really easily once the sun is out.
Any ideas? Thanks for the help!
7 AnswersMakeup4 years agoMy earring is stuck in my ear... what do I do?
It s not the earring back. The earring back came off no problem. I am wearing these pearl-type things and the earring itself isn t stuck in my ear. It s the stud. It won t move at all?? I am so confused. What do I do? I put some of the earring cleaner I got when I first got my ears pierced on it and I am trying to wiggle it out but it is barely moving?? I got my ears pierced in December. I ve changed my earrings before no problem. I ve been wearing these ones for 2 to 3 weeks.
2 AnswersOther - Skin & Body4 years agoGot ear lobe piercings three days ago and one side I sleep on is still swollen. Is that normal?
I know sleeping on it must irritate it so I'm just wondering if that may be why it's still swollen or do you think it's getting infected? Should I take my piercings out or give it more time? The person who pierced my ears said the swelling should be gone by the second day and it did go away for my right ear but my left is swollen still. I've been cleaning them religiously 3 times a day and twisting/moving back and forth.
1 AnswerOther - Skin & Body4 years agoI need some English essay help.. Civil War satire in The Adventures of Huckleberry Finn?
I'm writing a satire essay for Huck Finn and I got assigned to write about the Civil War satires. I need three different examples from throughout the book and I only have two-- the slavery (Jim being a runaway n all) and the Grangerfords and Shephersons (how they are fighting a useless, bloody battle). But I can't think of/find a third example from the book. Anyone else have any ideas? Please help me! Thank you!
1 AnswerHomework Help5 years agoI have a question about what counts as work experience for my resume?
So I m 17 and I don t really have a job. I ve applied to a bunch of places but no one has called me back. I do small things every now and again and I m wondering if I could include them on my resume for college?
When my next-door neighbors go on vacation, I ll usually dog sit for them. They re usually gone at least a week and I ll go over and feed their dogs, change the waters, play with them outside for an hour 2 or 3 times a day, and we ll go on walks if it s really nice out. Do you think I could put that on my resume? I don t do it all the time, just when they go away so maybe 3 or 4 times a year. And it s not like I dog sit for tons of families. I ve also dog sat for a friend s family twice, doing the same things I did for my neighbor s dog but not so many times a day because my friend lives farther away.
Also, I ve spent a lot of time helping my friend s family renovate a couple houses over the last year. I ve painted the outside, moved furniture, torn out carpet, painted inside, cleaned/mopped the house and the floors, put in windows and shutters, and done yard work to help with the renovations. We ve done/are going to do three houses (a farm house, a lake house, and their deceased grandparent s house) and one barn. Do you think that would be something I could put on the resume? It s not like they re set shifts or anything and it s for my friend s family but it s a lot of work.
1 AnswerHigher Education (University +)5 years agoIs it safe for squirrels to eat bread?
Last week my mom put out some stale wheat bread in a couple smaller trees next to our house/porch for the birds. But the birds never got it because there s this squirrel that likes to venture really close to our house that found it. And ever since, he s been coming back to our porch to feast on bread. He s really quirky and adorable. My mom and I named him Cornelius. We ve been leaving him a slice of bread since.
But the more I got thinking about it, the more I wondered if bread was really safe for squirrels to eat?? So yesterdsy I put a strawberry out with the bread. Soon enough, he came and ate the bread but he didn t touch the strawberry. I figured he must ve been full and that he d come back later for the strawberry. He did come back to scout for bread but he still refused to eat the strawberry. I put apple out today with the bread and he did the same thing.
Cornelius really seems to like bread but is it good for him?
3 AnswersBirds5 years agoIt is absolutely required to take anatomy in high school if I want to get into an occupational therapy program in college?
I know physics is required so I signed up for that and I feel like anatomy should be required but is it? I don't really have any room in my schedule for it but if I absolutely do need anatomy, I can probably drop one of the classes I signed up for and replace it with anatomy.

1 AnswerCell Phones & Plans5 years agoAny occupational therapists or assistants willing to give a junior in high school advice?
I ve never known exactly what I want to do after high school (other than going to college), and now that it s almost the second semester of junior year, I ve decided I have to start figuring stuff out.
So I ve been looking around on this website called Family Connections that my school showed us, and I was messing around and stumbled into Occupational Therapy. It seems like a really interesting field and I was thinking if I went into it, I d like to work with nursing homes and places like that. I really enjoy talking to older people, especially my friends grandparents & elderly customers at work (and they love talking to me, thankfully!), so I think that d be something I d be interested in.
However, I have no idea what I should do to actually become an occupational therapist. Which classes should I take senior year in high school to help me prepare? I ve already been planning on taking Psychology (not sure CP vs AP, though). What should I major in in college? The Family Connection website said it s a very customer-servicey type of job, and I work at Price Chopper right now as a cashier. Do you think that d show enough customer service experience? Should I intern now?
Anyway, sorry I m rambling so much. I have all of these thoughts and ideas running through my mind right now. If you re an occupational therapist, do you enjoy your job? Would you recommend it? It seems like it d be a very competitive occupation. I have a 90.63 GPA right now..
Thank you in advance!
1 AnswerHigher Education (University +)5 years agoHow to wear a boyfriend-style plaid shirt?
My mom got me a plaid long sleeve shirt for Christmas and I was actually really excited for it because I don t have any plaid shirts and I d been secretly wanting one.
Anyway, I went to put it on and it s boyfriend style! It s not really my type of thing, especially because cloths already look baggy enough on me because I m a tall, slender 16-year-old girl.
I was wondering what I could do to make it look less baggy or how I can wear it just in general. I m not very into fashion, so I don t really know what to do. It s a button-down, by the way as well. And you can roll and button the cuffs of the sleeves.
Please and thank you!!
2 AnswersFashion & Accessories5 years agoHow does Ellen DeGeneres get paid from her show, The Ellen Show?
I know she has different shows and she has a shop... but does she make any money from the show itself?
I know the tickets to get in the audience are free. Do the celebrities pay her to be on the show? (I think she actually pays them, but I honestly have no clue.) Does the TV station that broadcasts her show pay her to broadcast through them? Or does she pay them? I know she must get some money from the YouTube videos of the show, but still....
8 AnswersTalk Shows6 years agoI feel bad for a wild rabbit who's living under my deck in the snow & below 0 temperatures. Is there anything I can do?
I don't really know if I can do anything for the little guy, but I feel so bad for him. It's windy and there's at least 4 feet of snow on the ground.
I was making myself some dinner a half an hour ago and I saw him outside my kitchen window (which is next to the deck) sniffing around in the snow near the deck. It's an elevated deck, so we store some old bins and our tractor under there. My mom says he probably made a den under the tractor for himself.
I want to help him, though, so I stood up on the deck and threw down an ear of lettuce. It's probably bigger than him, lol. I also threw down a carrot or two, but carrots are pretty sugary.
I have my own rabbit so I have hay in my house. Do you think I should pile some of that down there for the little rabbit? I don't want to completely intrude his space under my deck, but I feel like I should at least give him some food.
I wanted to make one of those box houses people make for feral cats, although I don't think my mom would let me and it'd also require me going under the deck to position it and I don't want to accidentally chase the little guy out.
Should I even be feeding him? At night, he searches around my yard for food. I see his paw prints on my front porch and in the paths my dad snow blowed out for my dogs in the yard. I just feel bad. He's probably freezing and starving.
1 AnswerZoology6 years agoMy stupid iMovie application on my Mac keeps randomly deleting my video clips?!?!?
I'm trying to edit this long video for one of my class's final and every 10 minutes, video clips that I'm not even working on (but about to be working on) that WERE loaded and working, go black and iMovie won't tell me what's wrong. There's no picture or sound. It's really frustrating because this needs to be finished by Friday and I don't want to keep having to go through this. What are some fixes?
I've already tried closing out of the iMovie and it worked the first time--all of the clips loaded back up. But then 10 minutes later, the clips that I had already edited and put in the right order just the way I like it go black. Somebody please help me with this? Does this happen to you? This is only the second time using iMovie on the Mac and it's so frustrating and stupid.
1 AnswerCamcorders6 years agoWhat main courses are good to pair with a fruit salad?
I have to record myself making a meal for my culinary final and I definitely want to have a fruit salad be my side dish, but I can't think I any foods that'll go well with a fruit salad other than burgers or just plain chicken. Does anyone have any ideas? It can be literally anything.

3 AnswersBirds7 years agoWhy does my cat do this...?
I have an almost 2 year old tortie who is very sweet. Unlike most torties and calicos I've owned, she has basically no attitude. But she's always done this thing where if I go to make food (normally around breakfast/lunch time) and I'm in the kitchen by the stove/microwave, Sadie will fluff herself out, stand on her toes and arch her back, rattle her tail, meow loudly while looking straight at me with wide eyes, and back herself in the corner of the counter. Even when she was a kitten, she'd do this.
Normally when she rattles her tail, it means you're screwed but there's so signs of hostility in this act. I know she most likely wants food but is there any reason she has to do this? Because after the food is done, she'll still sit in my lap at the table and purr and lick my hand/face and rub herself against my arm to try to get some.
4 AnswersCats7 years agoWhy is my rabbit only peeing on me and my bed?
I recently adopted a 5 to 6 month old rabbit about a month ago. She's always been super sweet and friendly from the start. She was also litter box trained by the family who abandoned her and she's always only peeing and pooping in her cage.
...Except on my bed. She has free reign of the upstairs (my room, the hallway, my brother's room, my parent's room, a bathroom) and she can jump so she loves getting on the beds, mostly mine and my brother's.
She has no problem with the peeing on my brother's bed. She's never peed on it once. But she pees on mine every time she's up there.
We have 3 cats who are upstairs and on the beds a lot, and at first we thought it was the cats being on my bed, but then the same cat started sleeping on my brother's bed a lot and still the rabbit didn't pee up there.
I'm usually in my room doing homework or just relaxing while my brother is only in his room to sleep. So maybe my bed has more of a smell to it than my brother's? I'm not sure.
For right now, my rabbit is banned from my room. I have to close my door because she can easily jump the gate we had up there at first.
Has anyone else had this problem and figured it out? I've never had this problem with my past two rabbits. Hopefully it'll get better with age and we're getting her spayed in a couple of weeks.
*She'll also pee on me, a problem I've had with past rabbits. If she's on the couch downstairs (she's not there long...maybe 5 or 10 minutes?), she'll sit on my lap and p
