Generally a person who is 55 years old and over. Most retirement villages and pensioner insurance companies target 55's and over. The actual pension age is in the 60's and varies from country to country.

I live in a community of people 55 years old and older. Those in their 50's and early 60's don't consider themselves to be senior citizens, unless they are shopping and a senior gets a discount. Those 65 and older do call themselves seniors.

A senior is a person who has lost patience and is frustrated with everyone, a window watcher, hates most neighbours, dislikes teenagers, moans about aches and pains, wears his trousers to short, old gravy stains on his shirt, suffers with flatulence, can't find his teeth, ....anyway lets stop talking about me...and lets get on with your subject.
