If Molina didn't fight like a moron.. or had any sense of boxing he would arguably a champion and part of the pound for pound list?

Honestly, he has the size, the power and good chin....but his boxing IQ is very low..

I won't deny that Molina is gutsy warrior and will clock anyone who trades punches for punches with him...His right hand, at times can be unpredictable...

Im just disappointed that he hasn't learned that much during his 30 + bouts...He will forever be the punching bag that can knock you out if you aren't careful..

but hey he makes for exciting fights..

John Molina is a solid fighter but he wasn't going to beat Adrian Broner because AB is a class above Molina. Thats something that I think fans have a hard time distinguishing, it wasn't a case of making small adjustment like "head movement" or throwing the Jab more, he was just in the ring with a fighter who was light years better than him.

John dosen't have a low Boxing IQ and he isn't a bum. Its just that his ceiling as a fighter is lower than that of Adrain Broner's, which means AB is a class above him and when they get into the ring it'll be evident.

Molina does great when he's matched with B and C-Level fighters or guys who are going to trade shots back and fourth but when you match him with a skilled Boxer its going to be than obvious that he's not on the same level.

Any fighter would be better if they were smart and had a better sense of boxing. That's like asking if Floyd would suck if he didn't have great defense. You see what I mean?

Anyway, Molina's like a poor man's Randall Bailey.

Molina's less technical, less skilled, and has less power, but he has a much better chin. Both guys look for the perfect shot, and if it they don't land then they get outworked or outboxed.

All he had to do against ab was stay close within 2 to 3 feet, fight on the inside, land combinations, tie em on the ropes, relentlessly attack in legal spots when ab grabs, punch and grab, and just slow em down by battering his body. Swear, he was a mummy, last night. A straight up bum that should retire.

No, Molina always fight like that. He will leave himself open to get countered because he's too wild. He remind me of GGG but he's not that intelligent in his attack.

His bodytype is long distance but instead of boxing, he's a puncher/fighter. That's why he kept winning in the long run after a long beating. Long distance fighters can keep their ko power and stamina better than short stocky or husky fighters.

His only chance was one monster shot that would have led to a KO. When that real chance faded after round three or four, he seemed prepared to accept the inevitable -- while going to the lopsided scorecards.

  • Molina would never be a p4p fighter.

    Same rules apply to everyone.

    Of course...
