Canelo vs Kirkland will be good, don't fret about pac vs may any longer?
Lets look forward to the future people..
5 AnswersBoxing6 years agoI don't get why mayweather fans are so defensive, and angry, your boy won?
Mayweather won the fight. Be happy, and ignore the people who thought it was boring. It was a good performance.
I know people are trying to play it cool here, but it just sounds like you people are whining.
Hell, I'm happy they actually fought regardless if it was boring or not..
In the end of the day, both fighters smiled at each other after the fight, No homo
4 AnswersBoxing6 years agoCan we finally look forward to the future of boxing after this fight?
Rematch between the two won't have the same impact, since people know what to expect..Rather lets look forward to the future, Lomachenko, Frampton, Russel Jr, Charlo brothers, Pagara brothers. Felix Verdejo, Golovkin, Wilder, Kovalev ,Stevenson etc etc
5 AnswersBoxing6 years agoDid Floyd really leave a lasting impression on this fight?
He did great, but at the same time he still gets hate. Did this cemented his legacy, or is it just another footnote in boxing history.
I know people are saying casuals will leave this forum. I really don't think so, we are going to see a constant barrage of hate towards Mayweather..
There will really nothing memorable about this fight other than Mayweather winning..What does Mayweather need to do to gain respect, not just from boxing fans but also from the general public.
6 AnswersBoxing6 years agoJust unfortunate, floyd still can't win over the crowd, good win for him though, thoughts on this fight?
If I were a floyd fan, just ignore the criticisms and be glad he won the fight. He did give Pacquiao a schooling, but you know what, both fighters were virtually unscathed. Obviously, Im a Pacquiao fan, but I accept this loss, Floyd proved to be the better boxer regardless of what other people think.
Pacuiqoa had some decent success but, too far and in between..I think both fighters need to retire and gather their lump sum of money..They are damn good health after this fight.
Main reason floyd won, he controlled the center of the ring. Pacquiao was only commiting to fighting in a straight line and couldn't adjust....Floyd is a smart fighter, though his excessive holding was a bit annoying...but he was accurate..I think he should retire, unless he wants to go over marcianos record.
Ill be honest though, we definitely saw two fighters that aren't quite in their primes..I believe the fight would have been more exciting back in 2009...This fight doesnt hold the candle to fights like leonard vs Hearns..It won't be that memorable..Which is a unfortunate, but hey boxing still made a whole damn revenue out of this
5 AnswersBoxing6 years agoBadou Jack edged it out against Anthony direll, thoughts on this fight?
I don t think many people expected that to hapen since since jacks KO loss, but he should grit and deermination against Anthony direll..Good upset
2 AnswersBoxing6 years agoRuslan Provodnikov vs Lucas Mathysee, thoughts?
Mathysee, I agree with the decision but I don't think he would want to fight a guy like Provodnikov again..Some scary moments if you are a Mathysee fan...I was rooting for Provodnikov, but I was satisfied with the fight...
What is next for Mathysee??
3 AnswersBoxing6 years agoI actually think Broner could beat Danny Garcia?
I think Broner could win this fight, especially the way Garcia fights. Garcia doesn't exactly pressure you, he counters and measures...I however, believe broner likes to fight fighters like that..Maidana beat broner because he pressured..
10 AnswersBoxing6 years agoPetersons lack of activity definitely hurt, but boy did he start whipping garica, thoughts ?
I think Peterson should have pressed much more earlier. Danny did good work but he definitely started faded after round 8. Th decision was okay, though I thought it could have been a draw.
6 AnswersBoxing6 years agoone of the charlos brothers is fighting this weekend against Martirosyan, who wins?
I always thought the charlos brothers were good fighters fundementally. Martirosyan is a tough nosed boxer, but has good fundementals as well, who wins?
3 AnswersBoxing6 years agoSo how are yall gonna watch the Pacquiao vs Mayweather fight?
lol filipino night at my house lol..Going to get the ppv, definitely rooting for Pacquiao ...but man Also, excited for The Avengers :Age of Ultron..so if Pacquiao does lose, at least I have something else to look forward to..
Did anyone get tickets, hotel , etc? Gonna stream it?..This is a going to be a pretty historical night for boxing
8 AnswersBoxing6 years agoMercito Gesta vs Carlos molina this week, who wins?
Mercito Gesta had his chance to win a title but was badly outboxed by the awkward miguel Vazquez who recently lost is title to Mickey Bey..
Now molina is very much a come forward fighter but he has faced tougher competition than Gesta. Its pretty evenly matched..maybe gesta has his chance to shine
BQ: Gesta vs Jason (or was it albert) Pagara, light weight
BBQ provodnikov vs mathysee, who wins this??
1 AnswerBoxing6 years agoIs there any other reason why Malinaggi is very anti-pacquiao?
I really dont believe the whole drug testing thing..Does he have an ulterior motive. Or is it just him just speaking his mind..
also, should malinaggi just stick to being commentator. I think his best days are behind him. While he is a good boxer, the lack of power really hurt him..
3 AnswersBoxing6 years agoSo for those following minimum weight, Rey Loreto is a boxer to look forward too, any thoughts?
This dude handed Nikosanthi Joyi two knock out loses..They werent just lucky punches, his combinations are sharp..and he traded and force Joyi into firefights
Although Rey Loreto is 20 wins with 13 loses. He is only 23 years of age, still young and learning. and most of his loses were earlier in his career.
2 AnswersBoxing6 years agoIf Molina didn't fight like a moron.. or had any sense of boxing he would arguably a champion and part of the pound for pound list?
Honestly, he has the size, the power and good chin....but his boxing IQ is very low..
I won't deny that Molina is gutsy warrior and will clock anyone who trades punches for punches with him...His right hand, at times can be unpredictable...
Im just disappointed that he hasn't learned that much during his 30 + bouts...He will forever be the punching bag that can knock you out if you aren't careful..
but hey he makes for exciting fights..
8 AnswersBoxing6 years agoThurman needs to tighten his defense more, but other than that good performance?
Do I think he can beat mayweather or pacquiao..Not quite, Thurman still has some major defensive deficiences that could be exploited... If he could fix those, thurman would be very dangerous than he is right now...A fight with Brook, Bradley will tell me a little bit more about him but thurman boxed well against the gutsy guerrero..
7 AnswersBoxing6 years agoAmir Imam was pretty impressive, thoughts on him?
He showed great composure, and maldanado is no joke, this dude can be tricky to fight because of his busy body style and cracking power, but Imam showed his class...He could work more on moving lateral and using his jab, but I like his composure in the ring..possible world challenger down the round and maybe a titlist.
I would want to see how he does against Broner.
5 AnswersBoxing6 years agoMauricio Herrera vs Joseph Benavidez, big big test for undefeated Benavidez?
Could this be Joseph Benavidez coming out party or will he suffer his first loss. Mauricio Herrera has fought some of the best and has only lost to close decisions.
He arguably beat Danny Garcia and he outboxed and won against Ruslan Provodnikov.
Mauricio Herrerera recently defeated Johan Perez and made him suffer his first loss.
This is a big opportunity right now for Benavidez. If Benavidez makes this look easy, then he truly is deserving of a title shot..but I doubt this will be an easy fight.
4 AnswersBoxing6 years agoAccidently dropped and flushed a proactive bottle down the toilet,?
the bottle is about 4 to 5 inches long, and the diameter is about 1 and a half.
It slowly flushes and I am quite worried.
I tested flushing with toilet paper and it fills the basin with water but slowly drains and flushes.
3 AnswersMaintenance & Repairs6 years agoAlgieri is still a good fighter in my eyes, he can get better anyone agree?
As far as I am concerned, I believe he could beat guys like Broner, Jessie Vargas and Josesito Lopez, Rios, Danny Garcia and Thurman. Not saying it would be easy work but I believe he belongs on their level.
I think he does better against fighters who are a little more conventional.
Pacquiao comes at people at weird angles, if you can get Pacquiao to charge at you straight on you can have a chance (ala Marquez)
Major weakness for algieri at least for me is his lack of power. He hit pacman with a right hand, and it sort of bounced off pacquiaos face .
It may not have been fully extended, but that kind of right hand can be devastating.
I agree though that this feels like a pacquiao tune up for something bigger. but hey Pacquiao is a draw, its in Venetian Macao, people can complain about this not being ppv material but at the very least the undercards in this, were far better than mayweather vs maidana 2 undercards (those were ****, but the main event was good)
