Mathysee, I agree with the decision but I don't think he would want to fight a guy like Provodnikov again..Some scary moments if you are a Mathysee fan...I was rooting for Provodnikov, but I was satisfied with the fight...

Loved it.
Lucas won b/c of the reasons I previously stated in other questions. He's a more technical, smarter fighter and has underrated boxing IQ.
Ruslan is just a savage, and props to him for that. But Matthysse can pump that jab, throw hard combos and look good. Provodnikov just doesn't have that in him, dude is a caveman.
Matthysse would handle Provo again in a rematch, I'd like to see Ruslan fight Rios.
As for The Machine, I think the entire plan here was for him (or Provo) to face winner of Crawford/Dulorme, so I see a Matthysse vs Bud Crawford fight coming up next.
Hate that matchup for my boy Matthysse, but I have faith in him if it happens.

Im disgusted with he scores. You dont win fights by landing an occasional hard hit. Matthysse dominated. I cant stand HBO nuthugging fighters signed to their networks like ruslan. He got whooped.

Statistics wise: Lucas wins Rounds wise: It was even. I scored it 114-114. If provo wasn't so reckless at times and didn't get cut, then it would have been different a much more difficult fight for Lucas.
