Petersons lack of activity definitely hurt, but boy did he start whipping garica, thoughts ?
I think Peterson should have pressed much more earlier. Danny did good work but he definitely started faded after round 8. Th decision was okay, though I thought it could have been a draw.

Garcia always looks terrible in the second half, he has poor conditioning and if he can't hurt or ko the guy early, it shows. It wasn't just lack of activity, I think he actually did well enough to keep Peterson from building up a good ryhtm and attacked him enough to keep the 31 year old at bay early on. Wheter he lost or won those rounds is a whole different matter. Garcia's body language at the end of the fight certainly didn't reflect that of a victorious fighter.

Too bad for Peterson, his lack of activity made him loss the fight. He, in some way exposed Danny Garcia who was considered as one of the next big things in boxing. He showed how to beat him that could be capitalize by other fighters or by him on the rematch with the titles at stake. I am more impress on Lamont rather than Garcia tonight but the lack of activity really hurt him.

Yes, he was whipping Garcia the last half of the fight with ease. Garcia couldn't even hit hard enough to stop Peterson from walking him down. Peterson has shown that Garcia is not that good and can be beaten quite easily.

Peterson didn't do enough to win...he just couldn't make Garcia his B and he knew it. Garcia won too many rounds while peterson did nothing but dance and get caught a few times.

I agree with you 100%. Danny Garcia has basically made a career out of perfectly timed shots and the absolute worse moment for his opponent. You could literally be winning the fight by one round, get hit with a hook in the last second of the 12th, and lose the fight to Garcia…he has that kind of timing.
With that being said I think Lamont Peterson was overly cautious and extremely respectful of Garcia's power and then midway through the fight I think he realized that he's basically a Super-Middlewieght fighting a Welterweight and Garcia has no chance of hurting him. After he found that out he went for the kill and won the 2nd half to the fight.
Had Peterson fought like that from the 1st round he would've beaten Garcia easily, no doubt in my mind. He gave DSG too much respect and ultimately paid for it in the end. When its all said and done Garcia will move on to bigger and better things and Peterson will go back to fighting 2nd tier level opponents.

Yeah could've gone either way. However I thought Garcia would handle him easily and he didn't. He was doing good at first then idk wtf happened. I thought Garcia would be the one walking him down and it Peterson who doesn't have that kind of power doing it.
