Yes, I've been known to do this, but it's very annoying for your friends when you're limping along because your feet are hurting too much to walk around. Keep a pair of flats in your car so you can change before you go out with your friends.

I don't know anyone who wears high heels at work. They usually wear some sort of slip on's.

I wear 5 inch heels all day and keep them on when getting home
