It isn't LAME; it's just old-fashioned. It WAS to aid farmers, but they don't really mind working in the dark, or, at least, _I_ didn't. If you can't see a plant, just go back to it later.

Because its just a load of turning clocks forwards an hour only to turn them back an hour at a later time and that means anything with a timepiece has to be set again and again...
