can ghosts travel through outer space? i was told ghosts stay on earth but what happens when the sun turns into a red giant and the earth is destroyed? then ghosts just stay there?

A fascinating question!
Ghosts inhabit the spiritual plane, which is a different thing altogether from our earthly plane. Their plane would in no way be affected, whatever happened to the earth.
Ghosts actually stay on the spiritual plane but do tend to return to our plane for whatever reason.
