what would happsn if you get exposed to iuterspace for 1 second?

i watch gravity and the scene whete the male opens the hatch with the girl still in it. woulder what would have happen if you get exposed to outerspace for just 1 second. would u still explode?

    I can't be bothered to go check, but I think you'd be OK for 1 second. If you tried to hold your breath you'd damage your lungs just like surfacing SCUBA divers - recommended practice is to scream (well, sing or just exhale), shouldn't be hard.

    You would not "explode", that's a myth. But you might die in less than 90 seconds, from heart attack or bubbles in your blood.
