what do you people think about "men" who go to strip clubs?

Additional questions :

In a moralistic point of view, how can these men's actions be justified?

How should society, here in America, look at strip clubs?

In what circumstances would you agree in terms of reasoning, for the actions of the strippers and those who pay for their fantasies to come true?

I'm not sure why you put "men" in quotes; they're still guys whether they get grinded on or not.

In a moralistic point of view, I'd just assume they're men who are tired of masturbating or lonely guys who just want to try it out.

I don't think people should make it so pronounced in society that it gets slandered; strip clubs should only be available in the shadows for those who seek it out, not on the media for everyone to see.

Simply put: If they want it, let 'em have it. Prostitution is basically a profession, no matter how you look at it.

I stripped for many years before getting my BA and getting into social services as a profession. Let me offer a bit of perspective from someone who knows the industry very well.

First, strip clubs vary quite widely. Some are very classy and there's no touching. Others offer actual sex acts in private rooms. So one can't really generalize about them. I worked in classy clubs.

Regarding the patrons, it's true that many of the men who frequent the clubs are married or coupled. It's really up to an individual couple as to what's OK in their own relationship. It doesn't fall to us to tell married people what the rules of their marriage should be, nor what defines fidelity for them. If someone, ANYONE, male or female, straight or not, lies to their partner or says they won't do something and then does it, that's immoral behavior. The rules of the relationship should be followed. But let's not assume that every married man who goes to a strip club is lying to his wife about it, shall we? I know for a fact that it's not that way. Lots of the men brought their wives with them to the clubs at which I worked.

Now, I for one don't find sex shameful. I wasn't having sex with customers during my stripping days, but I think we can all agree that stripping is sexually charged. I found my job fun, for the most part. I enjoyed talking with the men (and women), entertaining them, and dancing. I loved the costumes and the shoes and the makeup and all that. I don't think that stripping is immoral in the slightest. But if you are ashamed of sex or your own sexuality and want to shame others' sexual behavior, that's your call.

    I don't think about them.

Their actions are justified by the fact that they have free will.

Society should look at them the same way they look at any other business. It is what it is.

They can do what they want. They're not hurting anybody and for that reason alone, should be allowed to continue their activity without intervention.

I really don't see the problem with it. I have no desire to ever go to one but I don't think I'm morally superior to men that do go to them. I don't care what people do in their own sex lives...it doesn't involve me. But then again...I don't see any reason not to legalize prostitution either. I have no desire to use a prostitute, but, again, to each their own.

That's sweet of you to offer your judgement so freely, but I'm pretty sure nobody asked for your opinion :)
