Ok physics question for you guys and gals. I want to know how much force a 10lb and 12lb sledge have. They have a 36" handle and we swing them hard at tent stakes. The tent stakes are 36" long 1" think steel and prob weigh 20lbs a piece. We swing these hammers from above our heads at full arms length (6'2" man with 6'5" wing span) with both hands at the end of the handle. Couldn't tell you how fast they are going but we pull down on them as hard as we can. Just curious how much force we are putting onto the heads of these stakes. Thanks guys! (would love to see the math behind it as well if it possible)

If I was swinging I bet I could make a dent the size of a crater. I am the strongest natural athlete in my region and probably my state.
