I am looking at jet speed boats. Currently I have my eye on a 1979 Sanger 19' flat bottom with a 455 olds. I have heard that flat bottoms have there pros and cons and would like to hear some of both. Maybe also a good comparison to a regular jet boat of the same similarities that is a v hull. Please if you reply and talk about chop or waves please use measurements, not big and little. Tell me a six inch chop or two feet ect. This boat will probably run 65-75 mph on lake Navajo in Colorado. Maybe a few Powell trips. Thanks for the input everyone :)

Ok so I will be just driving my truck down the road and the abs light and energecy brake light will just come on and beep at me. If I am sitting with it off but key on it will come one periodically and beep at me. It is a 2003 cummins 2500 six speed manual with 170k on it. What is going on here and how do I fix her. Thanks

Ok so I am not new to engines by any means but I just bought my first diesel. It is a 2003 cummins with 170k on it. I am going to change the water pump in it but the previous owner said it did not take regular antifreeze. He said it took this special diesel stuff that is pinkish red? He said that if I put regular antifreeze in it, it would gum it up. Any suggestions? If it does take this special stuff where can I pick it up at? Thanks everyone.

I have a 502 in my jet boat right now. Has a dual high rise intake with a single 850 holley double pumper. Rebuilt the top end with new valves, guides, cam, lifters, bearings, and roller rockers. Has a Berkeley jet that is blue printed. I can not get it over 75mph gps. I want to break 80 for just a little money. I think I have the engine I want and that can do it. Any suggestions. No I do not want a bottle of nitro. I want to be able to do it consistently. I am thinking maybe a high rise intake with two 4barrels. Maybe 660 cfm each. What are you thinking? Thanks

I was part of the black forest of Colorado Springs fire. Unfortunately everything burnt to the ground and we lost everything. I was unable to get my custom chevy truck out before the house barn went up and it was scorched pretty good. It got hot enough to melt the polished aluminum rims right off of it. The truck was a truck that I been working on for 10 years and seeing how I am only 20 that would be half my life. It was a father son project and dad and I spent hours apon hours planning saving and building my baby. I cannot even begin to explain how sentimental that truck is to me. So my question for everyone is can you restore a truck that has been in a fire? If so are there any articles out there of people doing it or body shops that specialize in it or anything of that sort? Any information would be extremely helpful. They say our property bunred extremely hot and I would estimate the barn stayed about 2500 degrees for 45 minutes. I dont know if that makes a difference. Please do not write on here anything stupid like just take the insurance money and go buy a new truck. All I want to know if it is possible to restore my baby with my dad again. Thank you

So we put those air bags on the back axel of a 2500 chevy at work and they work great when you have a huge load on it. Was wondering if they are available for a 1997 honda passport. If anyone finds anything let me know. Thanks

Ok so i have my whole differential apart and my spider gears are shredded. I know it is a gm 14 bolt but how do i tell if it is a 30 spline, 35 spline... ect. How do i tell if it a 10.5 or 9.5, aka how do i know what spider gears do i order online? thanks guys

Ok here is the problem. I have the back end of my truck jacked up and when you grab where the drive shaft connects too and turn it you can see the rack and pinion turning but the tires do not turn. My guess is i snapped one of the shafts inside the axle and that's why neither wheel is turning. There is no posi or anything in this truck so the tire with least resistance would be the one to turn and if one of the shafts is broke it would be that one that would spin. Anyone have any other ideas on what could be wrong? Thanks guys

I have a np205 transfer case in my truck that i dropped out of it today. It would drive around in 4 wheel drive but as soon as you put it into two it would not move. I think it might be the rear output shaft, i have heard of these break around the oilier ring? any suggestions? If you do know where these can be found, decent maybe more durable ones can please send me a link. Also if this transfer case has 140k on it, some of them not so easy, would it be a bad idea to do a bearing and seal kit? or are these cases really as bullet proof as they advertise, and can i go without? I have a kenwood stereo, 52 watt. I have two 3x5 speakers in the back, and 4 inch in the doors. The speakers are stock and cannot handle the watts from my new stereo. Cannot find 3x5 speakers anywhere that would actually be decent like polk, sony, or bose. Not looking to spend a fortune but i am a kid and do pump it quit a bit. Can anyone find the speaker sizes i am lookin for for a decent price? Thank you in advance

OK so i got a 1928 Dodge victory six with a single barrel carb mounted on the side. As of right now the carb that is on it is a Tillotson carb JR3A which parts or complete carbs are no longer i production. i am pretty sure the original carb on it was a Detroit Lubricator, or a Stromberg UX-2 and you can find these but they are like 2 grand which is not feasible. I need a single barrel carb that will fit this application or if anyone knows where to find parts for my Tillotson that would fantastic. I am on a budget and want to get this car running. Ok so i got a little money to spen on my car speakers. I have a 52watt X 4 kenwood stereo for my car but the stock speakers are not handling the power to great. I have two 4inch speakers up front and two 4x6 inch speaker in the back. I would like some decent speakers that sound good that wont keep going out but that are not like 100$ a piece. Anyone help me out here? Thanks

So i have stacks on my show truck and they seem to have some sort of stains on the, from what i don't know. i have heard you can use baking soda to get stains off but then i am not sure and i do not want to screw up my three hundred dollar stacks. Any one no of anything that might work and not peal off the chrome?

Ok so i have a 1991 chevy 1 ton that looks really nice. I want some more go...though. Superchargers you need the right set up and i don't really feel like drilling a hole in my cowl hood. Turbos need the right set up as well and alot of fine tuning. But what about pro-chargers thought. Are they good. WIll i have to rebuild my whole engine or can i slap it on and go. It is a throttle body 454 that i am pretty sure is pretty much stock. If you have your foot on the ground it usually shift between 4500 and 5000 RPMs so it might have an RV cam in it or something. I heard pro-chargers give about 60% more horse power but i don't really want to over haul my engine if it is needed. Just tell me a little bit about them. I want to learn so please help me out. Or point me to a website that will give me some more info. Thanks
