The z-critical value for 96% confidence interval is 2.05

    a. n=150 b. p^ = 43/150 = 0.2867

    c. z* = 2.05

    d. SE = sqrt [ p^(1-p^) / n] = sqrt { (0.2867)(0.7133) /150) ] = 0.0369

    e. ME = (0.0369)(2.05) = 0.075645

    Confidence interval:

    phat-zval*sd = 0.2867 - (2.05)(0.0369)

    phat-zval*sd = 0.2867 + (2.05)(0.0369)

    f. 96 % confidence interval is ( 0.211 , 0.362 )

    g. If repeated sampling was used, the true proportion of subscribers to Boston Globe from Beverley residents will be contained in the interval 96 percent of the time.
