polishing compound, then wax.... done deal....don't use rubbing compound
as a matter of fact, you can probably do it with just a credit card then wax...
that's what I've done...

First try to remove the bird crap with soft rag and glass cleaner. If it was on there too long and has eaten into the clear coat then you can buff it out some. Do this by hand with rubbing compound. Do not use a electric buffer it's very easy to burn though the paint.
