It effectively obliterates democracy because we might not be able to introduce policies which will effect the profits of some corporation. It will also ironically recreate a 70's 'unions' style system, but without the democracy, as it will just be some mogul on his own making decisions that none of us can affect, we will effectively be living in a corporatocracy (if we aren't already)

I think the Greens have the right idea, instead of destroying useless businesses, utilize their skills to do something less useless, such as turning arms manufacturers into windmill manufacturers.

  • Lol I'm totally against it, large corporations tend to have expensive corporate lawyers which will make mincemeat of local councils and businesses forcing through unwelcome changes which will benefit no-one but the corporation. This is the only thing ever (apart from the living wage) that I agree with the unions on!

    You've been warned.

I think TTIP is not good in the long term as they have been VERY secretive about what is being agreed, and most of it allows businesses to sue governments if they prevent profits by setting good laws designed to protect people.

Thus if a product was found to be harmful - the government couldn't ban it.
