They probably could, but they won't. Apple wants their profits and sponsoring car races would cut into those profits. Apple already has enough advertising and a large customer base, so unless they are *really* greedy, they won't sponsor car races.
Watching cars going around an oval track 500 times is about as exciting as watching paint dry, at least to me.

They would never do this...period. How many sporting events have you seen them sponsor?
