What's the difference between "counsel," "council," "counselor," and "councilor?"?
Most homonyms I'm able to figure out, but these I can't. Please help me with this.

The council is a group of people with a set job, often in government. A councilor is a member of that group. A counsel is a lawyer representing someone or a group of people. It also means "advice" and, as a verb "to give advice". A counselor is one who counsels, i.e. gives advice, as a job

A council is a group of several people; the other words all denote only one person (and "counsel" also has other meanings besides a type of individual).
