Is there a difference between being "unsatisfied" and being "dissatisfied"?

I gather that both words are antonyms of "satisfied," but is there a difference in degree or intensity or something or are the words virtually the same in meaning?

I believe unsatisfied is more typical when a desire or need has been partially but not completely fulfilled.

Dissatisfaction is more a statement of attitude toward a situation or circumstance, but can also be used with the "partially fulfilled" concept.
