    never personally seen a confederate flag

    the flag that liberals assume is the confederate flag

    is NOT the confederate flag and never was

    the tennessee battle flag( virgina battle flag ) represent pride in your ancestors

    the same as the mexican flag does for mexicans immigrants ( notice you never see liberals critize the mexican flag, even through we faught a war against them )

    or the british flag, french flag, spanish flag, japanese flag, italian flag -- all of which we had wars against

    To me, it doesn't represent anything. It's interesting that the people who get upset by it are some of the very same people who say that they're in favour of freedom of expression.

    It represented the southern states who wanted to secede from the union. It is normally misrepresented as a sign of slavery. However, to the educated, it is actually a symbol of freedom. The south wanted their own country...free from the North's irrational rule.
