Dear usually you have to wait for sometime de to birth.

    How old is your baby?

I recalled one of my neighbour is discussing with my wife how only a day or two after bringing home her first baby she went into the bathroom, examined her vagina with a handheld mirror and, horrified at how bruised and swollen it looked, sobbed. It’s now a decade later and although the physical trauma has subsided, my friend said her vagina never fully recovered after birth. So this common problem and this process take 3/4 months.

In most cases, childbirth will not “ruin” vaginas, It’s true that the pelvic-floor muscles may be taxed during a vaginal delivery, which means the opening may feel looser and sex can feel different for some women for a few months, but the vagina is an amazing, elastic organ that can stretch enough to bring a 10-pound baby safely into the world and then snap back to its normal size.

I’m so grateful that I didn’t experience any real change after the birth of my son. I had a slight 2nd degree tear and episiotomy, but I didn’t even need pain medication after my 2-days in the hospital. I avoided sex for 6 weeks to allow myself time to heal…and then I waited another 4 weeks after that because I was afraid it was going to hurt (and my sex drive has been non-existent).

Another friend admit, it hurt when my husband and I finally had sex. I was sore afterwards too. It’s gotten better though. And once the initial pain subsided I was able to enjoy myself like I used to be.
