What bullets will be legal to shoot out of handguns in California in 2019 once the lead ban kicks in? Anything non-lead is armor piercing.?

So, did the absence of lead stop all soldering, stop gasoline from burning, and body work on cars? There will be a replacement metal. Not all steel will pierce armor, but everything in law making will depend on whose toes are stepped on.

People in California should be more worried about water and not bullets. Whole place is drying up - ready to blow away...... and your legislature's are doing nothing but spinning their wheels on gun control, gay marriage, and relaxing immigration. If this were my state - they would have recalled half of them and lynched the other half for that kind of behavior,

I would not worry about it. Come 2019 - California will have successfully merged with Death Valley and become a new national park.

Pretty sure any lead ban will be overturned in court long before it can take effect.

I see that some people are arguing, though not very clearly, that non-lead ammunition that can be used in a rifle cannot be used in a handgun. Even if true, I don't think there are very many hunters who go after game with a pistol. The lead ammo ban applies ONLY to hunting.
