Would WWE be better if they developed an actual ranking system, and they had to move up in ranks to get title shots?
It would be more interesting to see different wrestlers facing each other in singles matches that had actual outcomes with tangible consequences.
Tag team matches would be about tag team titles, and not just filler Raw main events.

imagine that. instead of sheamus beating a bunch of jobbers and jamie noble twice just to get a shot at cena's title in 2009, sheamus actually had to defeat real competition for him to get that title shot.

NO.
just like they don't need to add 300 weight classes to be like Boxing and MMA, everyone Knows wrestling is Worked... the harder they pretend that they are real the more fake they look
and TNA has Tried at least twice to create such a system
-- Back in 2010 they tried a 'top ten' where Fan Voting and win/loss decided contenders... That lasted less than a Month Because the Fans kept picking Desmonde Wolfe (Nigel) so what did TNA do?... they Jobbed him out and the Fans still voted strong enough to keep him on Top... so TNA burned his Title shot on the Next impact and Booked the PPV match they wanted to book all along
-- Currently they are running the 'Top Five' announced every Saturday with minimal explanation of how it works... and never mind that this weekly ranking some how influences Booking decisions that were Pre-Recorded well over a Month in advance... "Magic?"

doesn't matter cause Mr. McMahon would forget that the ranking system exist and put cena on top.....just cause.
