Nobody to eat lunch with?
I'm a freshman in highschool and the past couple of days I haven't really had any where to go during lunch. I have friends in my classes but we aren't very close. I'm a pretty quiet person, although I want to be more outgoing. What should I do to find people to eat with at lunch? I don't want to be one of those people who just listen to music or go on their phones alone the entire time. What should I do? How can I make new friends, and in general too?

It's not that big a deal. Go sit and listen to music or something. That's what i used to do. I sat at the table with the "nerds" (3-4 guys). Somehow i got to know a lot of people so i could sit anywhere. I usually ended up sitting with them because it's really chill and i did homework. Also they're pretty funny.
Or just find an empty table and let people come to you.
My school also had a day where they assigned seats so people meet new people. Sounds stupid but suggest that. Really bridges social groups

Just go to those friends you know but not close with and say 'I want to have lunch with ya' then follow them along.
