can can christy's red hot blue glue pvc pipe cement be used for a potato gun?

on their website, and other sources, it says that "This product is not for use in a system using or being tested with compressed air or gases." but, on the can, it says: "for potable water, pressure, non-pressure, gas, conduit, drain, duct, DWV, irrigation, sewer, and flexible PVC."

i'm planning to make a pneumatic and a combustion potato gun, and i am wondering if it would be safe to do so, and i'm pretty sure you can see why. the pvc that i'm using for my air tank and combustion chamber is pressure rated at 200 psi, and i'm planning to use aquanet for propellant.

thanks.

There is no glue specifically approved for a potato gun. But I would use a glue that isn't formulated with any compromise in formulation that does anything other that bond the pipe.

And about primer, it cleans and softens the pipe and makes a stronger joint, is that a concern?

And flammability isn't a big issue after it cures. It is the solvent that is flammable, when the glue has hardened it is because the solvent has evaporated.

Use schedule 80, and make sure you spread and re-spread the glue evenly, and twist the pipe after inserting.

not too sure about the propellant [[ that's on you ]] the glue that you use to put the PVC gun together should be the PVC PURPLE JOINT CEMENT == it is the best and works very rapidly ... very important that you twist the pipe and PVC connectors to attain the best seal .....
