  • can can christy's red hot blue glue pvc pipe cement be used for a potato gun?

on their website, and other sources, it says that "This product is not for use in a system using or being tested with compressed air or gases." but, on the can, it says: "for potable water, pressure, non-pressure, gas, conduit, drain, duct, DWV, irrigation, sewer, and flexible PVC."

i'm planning to make a pneumatic and a combustion potato gun, and i am wondering if it would be safe to do so, and i'm pretty sure you can see why. the pvc that i'm using for my air tank and combustion chamber is pressure rated at 200 psi, and i'm planning to use aquanet for propellant.

    thanks.

  • Do I need PVC primer, and is this stuff okay for a combustion potato gun?

I'm building a potato gun, and I have (to attach the pipes together), some 'Christy's Red Hot Blue Glue PVC Pipe Cement'.

I'm going to be using this to attach all parts of both a pneumatic and combustion potato gun together. I looked at a different tutorial, and he used a primer (also for the schrader valve) for his tutorial. So, i'm wondering if i need to use a primer as well, or if what i have is good.

As well, the label says that it is EXTREMELY flammable, and that vapors may cause flash fires, as well as having about 3 paragraphs worth of safety precautions. Because i'm going to be using this stuff for a combustion potato gun, I was wondering if I could use it, or if it would be dangerous to use it.

    Thanks.

  • Proof that evolution is false?

I'm an agnostic atheist, and i'm not looking to create conflict, just looking for why you think that evolution isn't true. And no, the bible (or any other religious text) cant be used in your proof.
