Proof that evolution is false?

The Bible says so (just kidding).

There are so many proofs, this forum is just too puny to delve into just a fraction of them all.

One of the main proofs is from the inventor of the theory himself.

For all the problems with evolution and Darwin himself, unlike his successors today, at least the man did not give up his reasoning skills and appreciation for rational thought.

For instance, from just a basic logical standpoint, it is obvious that the lack of any fossils showing any sort of evolution toward Cambrian plants and animals is without doubt a valid argument against evolution. As the 19th century geologist himself said:

“Nevertheless, the difficulty of assigning any good reason for the absence of vast piles of strata rich in fossils beneath the Cambrian system is very great. ... The case at present must remain inexplicable; and may be truly urged as a valid argument against the views here entertained.” (Darwin, C., The Origin of Species, 1872, pp. 316-317.)

The truth is after hundreds of years of digging, such a lack of evidence beneath the Cambrian system is still the undisputed case. That lack of intermediate transitional fossils has even been described as the “trademark secret of paleontologists” by famed evolutionists such as Dr. Stephen Gould.

However in contrast to the logicalness of Darwin, all we have today is the mindless parroting of some unknown pseudoscientist who amidst the overwhelming evidence contrary to the failed theory asserted that evolution is an established fact of which there is NO valid argument against.

The mindlessness has gotten so ridiculous that teachers are threatened with reprisal if they quote Darwin himself about his own theory.

The Bible is God's word, has never been shown to be inaccurate, has many prophecies that have been fulfilled, and claims to be 'TRUTH'. Why would I then ignore that and look anywhere else for a record of history? The account of a living being who says how it happened because he was there doing it, seems reasonable. Its a bit like asking for a report about an untelevised football match 10 years ago without asking the players, the referee, or the fans who were at the stadium watching.

I don't believe evolution is false. Why would you assume I do? Just because a lot of loud, outspoken fundamentalist Christians DO? The majority of Christians have no problem with evolution. Many who do not believe in the Bible embrace the theory that living things emerged from lifeless chemicals through unknown and mindless processes.

Supposedly, at some point a bacteria-like, self-replicating organism arose, gradually branching out into all the species that exist today. This would imply that ultimately the mind-bogglingly complex human actually evolved from bacteria.

The theory of evolution is also embraced by many who claim to accept the Bible as the word of God. They believe that God produced the first burst of life on earth but then simply monitored, and perhaps steered, the process of evolution. That, however, is not what the Bible says.

According to the Bible, Jehovah God created all the basic kinds of plant and animal life, as well as a perfect man and woman who were capable of self-awareness, love, wisdom, and justice.

The kinds of animals and plants created by God have obviously undergone changes and have produced variations within the kinds. In many cases, the resulting life-forms are remarkably different from one another.

First of all it's great to see you questioning this. Nothing can be shown to be 100% if there is anything going against it. I am an Anti-deist myself and I would like to think evolution is real as I can see things changing to fit their surroundings in every day life all around me. Polar bears are mating with Black Bears in order to survive what we are doing to earth, wolves now eat carrion. Which brings me to the evidence against. Though it's not really that as much as evidence that humans have reached a point where we have started fighting it. Instead of changing to survive better in our surroundings we are trying to change our surroundings to fit us. I'm sorry if this sounds like a rant about tree hugging but, I believe that since we have evolved to a point where we can reason with logic we have given ourselves a false right to stop evolving and force the world to catch up.

Evolution isn't the problem, it's Darwinism.

Our DNA is essentially a programming code, with literally milllions of "characters", if you will, made of different chemical combinations.

We are programmed to adapt to our environment generationally, based on the perceived needs of the parent organism. NOT random mutations over millions of years.

There is absolutely NO proof or evidence that evolution is false.

That is why the unprincipled promoters of creationism, in their web sites and books, are forced to resort to lies and deceit for their "proof" that evolution is false.

And ignorant, gullible lay creationists just lap it all up and regurgitate it here as is well demonstrated by the creationist responders.

But, Asker, in response to your question, let's take a look at what a more honest CREATIONIST scholar, Todd C. Wood, a Research/Associate Professor of Science at the Christian-based Bryon College, says about the evidence for evolution.

And the creationist responders who think they have proof evolution is false should note what he says in the second paragraph.

"Evolution is not a theory in crisis. It is not teetering on the verge of collapse. It has not failed as a scientific explanation. There is evidence for evolution, gobs and gobs of it. It is not just speculation or a faith choice or an assumption or a religion. It is a productive framework for lots of biological research, and it has amazing explanatory power. There is no conspiracy to hide the truth about the failure of evolution. There has really been no failure of evolution as a scientific theory. It works, and it works well.

"I say these things not because I'm crazy or because I've "converted" to evolution. I say these things because they are true. I'm motivated this morning by reading yet another clueless, well-meaning person pompously declaring that evolution is a failure. People who say that are either unacquainted with the inner workings of science or unacquainted with the evidence for evolution. (Technically, they could also be deluded or lying, but that seems rather uncharitable to say. Oops.)

But, of course, since he is a creationist, he then goes on to say:

So, Asker, there you have it. The Bible is the word of god, period, and the facts be damned. And that is the attitude of creationists regardless of whether they know anything about the evidence for evolution or not.

At least Professor Wood is honest in saying that his rejection of evolution is a matter of faith, in contrast to the despicable promoters of creationism in their web sites and books who resort to lies and deceit for their "proof" that evolution is false.

Firstly, there is no inherent opposition between faith and the scientific discovery that life evolved from lower forms to higher forms over many millions of years. Pope Benedict XVI stated in his address to the Pontifical Academy of Sciences in 2008, "My predecessors Pope Pius XII and Pope John Paul II noted that there is no opposition between faith's understanding of creation and the evidence of the empirical sciences." That's because the Catholic Church does not hold a strictly literal interpretation of the Genesis story of creation.

I would say that you can not.

But it would actually be very easy to disprove evolution. All scientific theories can be easily disproved.

So, all the creationists need to do is to find the "pre-Cambrian rabbit" and evolution is toast.

Their only problem is that all the evidence points to evolution being true, so the only way they can try to refute it is by lying, or various fallacies.

Cells. Not simple. Simplest...so called...is unbelievably complex...mitochondria, Golgi bodies, and the thousands of processes.

Flight patterns of birds, homing pigeon, all astounding.

Water crystals that respond to words. Power of prayer, that ANY miracles EVER happen.

Water, universal solvent...how likely? Ratios of gases for breathing, insects...how come they are here? Too much, vast.

Our eyes? 10 layers!! All at once, entire body all at once.

No time for evolution.

Atheists mock God but I must mock anything so kindergarten as evolution. The great mind of God who named the billions of stars. Then there's astronomy! Fabulous.
