It is not a "bad aspect". It is, however, an uncomfortable aspect. It creates some frustration, but it does not create the inner tension that a square creates and it does not generate problems in our relationships like an opposition generates.
Furthermore, the quincunx is still considered a minor aspect. Not a major aspect. Which means that its affect is not as strong as that of a major aspect would be.
Each of your planets represents a different facet of your personality, a different inner need.
When two planets are in aspect with each other, they interact with each other . affect each other. In positive or negative ways, depending on the nature of the aspect itself.
The quincunx indicates that the two planets are NOT in sympathy with each other. There is some strain in how those two needs work together. This strain lies between doing for others, and doing for ourselves .. in an inconjunct aspect, we are trying to make sure that when we serve others we are also serving ourselves. This is not exactly what service is about. And it is not exactly how we can best meet our needs either.
We often have trouble standing up for ourselves because we are trying to get others approval, or we don't pay enough attention to what others need from the situation and they end up working against us. This can create strain, and that in turn can have a negative impact on our physical health.
Mercury quincunx/inconjunct Mars means that what you have trouble effectively acting (Mars) on what you consciously know (Mercury). Put another way, you may have a lot of knowledge about what you want to do, but not see clearly HOW to take action to get the results you want. Rather than doing what you need to do to accomplish your goals, you try to please others too, and fail to do either of these very well.
As well, you have a lot of nervous tension and that can exhaust you physically unless you change how you do things.
The signs these planets are in will point out what styles of thinking and acting are interfering with each other, and the houses these planets are in will show you what areas of your life this strain affects. Positive aspects from other planets TO Mercury and/or Mars show paths to learn to use your inconjunction more effectively. This is why we always ask to see the actual circular chart when we do any kind of reading.
Jupiter inconjunct Uranus is not quite so specific to YOU, since Jupiter would normally be inconjunct Uranus for about 3 months (longer if Jupiter went retrograde), and so everyone born on Earth during that time would also have Jupiter inconjunct Uranus.
This aspect indicates that you have unrealistic dreams, far-fetched and too grand. You need to get good advice about how much you can expect, and to scale down your goals and dreams to what is realistic. Self-discipline and a steady slower pace are important as you tend to overdo it when you are pursing something and can burn yourself out. Here, the conflict is between your excess and the unpredictability of life. You go at it too hard, and when things go wrong you don't have more resources available or handling the problems.
The adjustment of this quincunx is to be more realistic and take a more orderly, organized approach to accomplishing your goals.
The signs these planets are in will say more about the style of action, and the houses will tell you what areas of life you have these problems about.
