Why can't Americans drive?

Some can, most can't. Sorry. Driving here in USA is almost an entitlement. The government gets its fee and only extreme dangerous driving results in privileges being revoked.

I was struck while crossing the street in the marked pedestrian crosswalk, and flew through the air! The driver didn't even want to stop. I was left laying in the middle of a street that suddenly had 60 mph (100 km/h) traffic zooming by about 3 feet away, and nobody even stopped! The guy called police and made up a big lie, which was uncovered. I needed abdominal surgery. In the courtroom, the city prosecuting attorney asked me if I would drop my complaint, because the 22 year old had a good driving record!

I've been in Europe and driving is quite different.

The intelligence of Americans has dropped significantly since I was young, while their selfishness has increased dramatically.

Sometimes I wonder. I don't know if it is because they are Americans because one does not have to be American to drive here. The classes don't teach the things they used to. Like the far left lane is for passing. I see people on the expressway in the left lane doing 65 mph and think because it is clear for as far as the eye can see that it is OK. They are not looking back at the mile of cars behind them that can not get by.

So, with your sample group of two, now 300 millions can't drive? I think you need to work on your statistics.

OK, it's probable that only about 150 millions are actually licensed drivers, and that is a WAG.

SAME issue HAPPENED prime Maine LAST YEAR! I drive associate recent white Benz THAT WAS HIT 5 times IN PARKING heaps BY gram VEHICLES only 1 left associate address and PHONE number! All others were HIT and RUN! despite the fact that I got the car place from the biggest wrongdoer, the peace officer did NOTHING however fill in forms! no one will there JOBS any longer, right? needed to file successful AND RUN in court! Man if you think parking in the states is the worst, try living in Korea and having your skyline side swiped every time you park on the side of the road. Wasn't even worth putting money in to get it checked out.

It could also be you were in a place no sane man would go & let alone park.
