Question for guys. Do you get ignored a lot on online dating sites?
I've beenon okcupid for a week, I'm a guy, and have not had 1 girl reply to me yet, and haven't rec any messages. I'm not that ugly either. My friend who is a girl is overweight, has 2 kids, she's bipolar, and she receives 300 emails a week.

Sometimes. It all depends on the profile picture though. Looks as good as you can and pick girls in your league. Don't have a very specific profile such as "I'm looking for a girl who wants to have a 6-10 month relationship".. Just be open to everyone.
I would start off with something about her profile, like a joke about one of her interests, or something you relate to her, or something i don't know. Then ask her a few more questions, be friendly, this conversation should be roughly 15 minutes long. Then she can actually ask a question, if not, move on. I messaged probably well over 200 girls and you rarely get a girl who will ask anything about you unless you're way to attractive for her.
I kept getting ignore because I said "hey, how's it going".. Avoid that, make her think about what you just said.
