Determining the limits of detection of an ion chromatography instrument?
As the title says, I need to verify that the limit of detection for a particular compound is 0.2ppm or greater.
How do I write a method for doing this? Would you run blank samples and compare against standards at 0.2ppm?
Thanks

Yes.
Run ten blanks, then calculate the mean & Standard deviation of those measurements....most accepted approaches calculate the LOD as a multiple of the peak-to-peak noise (typically stated as 2 x or 3 × noise) and then LOQ as some multiple of that (e.g., 10–20 × LOD).
