What exactly will Nexus 7 Settings > Backup & Reset > "Factory data reset" do?

Update:

It says that it will erase all data from your tablet's internal storage, including Google account, Does that mean it will NOT touch my online Google account stuff? I just want to blank it out before I toss it. I don't want my personal info left on it.

Update 2:

I want to make sure my email and data are erased from the Nexus 7 2012 tablet device without harming any of my online accounts.

    Basically your phone will become like how it was when you took it out of the box. Your emails will be deleted from the tablet but will remain in the cloud for online usage

    Erase all the data from the phone.
