    They gave us the modern English Alphabet and the Calendar. How 'bout that? Basic almost as dirt. And concrete! Every time you walk on a sidewalk think of the Romans.

    They built Hadrians wall to defend us from the Scots. Believe me that's still important if the Scots have been beaten in a game of football!
