When cups of coffee are mentioned in studies on health, do they refer to brewed coffee, or instant?

Instant coffee reportedy only contains half the caffeine of brewed coffee.

most of the health benefits are for decaf too. Its not always the caffeine that has the benefits its the coffee itself.

It depends on what they are studying. Caffeine is not the only thing some studies are looking into. Coffee also has several antioxidants and other healthy things. I would assume they use brewed coffee since it's most popular.

I didn't know that and they may add other stuff for the flavor
