i do online math so i dont really have any help and the textbook doesnt really say how to do these equations

Tanya designs food storage containers. She has designed a container with the width of 24cm and length of 36cm. she now wants to design a nesting set of containers proportional to the first one . if she uses the scale factor of 0.8 what will be the new dimensions of the smaller container?

QUESTION 2

rina scaled a triangle by a factor of 3/4. if the original triangles sides are 10cm,11cm and 12cm what is the longest side of the smaller triangle

    1) The smaller container will be 24 cm x 0.8 = 19.2 cm wide and 36 cm x 0.8 = 28.8 cm long.

    2) The longest side of the smaller triangle measures (3/4) x (the longest side of the original triangle) = (3/4) x 12 cm = 9 cm.
