Telepathy test: which number did I write?

One third of everyone will get that right. If you are going to perform a test, Do it with a very large number, say 1000. I think telepathy is not new, it's very old and not needed. Some animals still use it, but I don't think we need it as it would cause more than enough problems. If every person on Q&A answered, I think you would be lucky to get one right answer.

A bit of a waste of time for several reasons:

1) real telepaths are as scarce as hens teeth-- maybe 1 in every 100 million people rough guess.

2) No one can read a thought from a faceless computer.; there is nothing to "tune to" so to speak.

3) Despite what they do in movies & TV, only certain types of telepaths can read non-telepaths-- which is 99% of head-blind humanity; telepaths have no problem among each other.

4) and your "test" is sloppy. It doesn't rule out the possibility of precognition for whatever right answers you get, Precognition is 1,000 times more common than telepathy.

If you do any psi test, you really should use standard Zener test cards instead of numbers as it makes it so much easier to correlate data-- assuming you get anything other than random results at all. Have fun, heh heh...

That is *so* strange! Earlier today I was shopping, when a number just appeared in my head from nowhere. So, I can say with complete confidence that the number you wrote down was 1,427,918. There is absolutely no doubt about it.

Oh, wait...1, 2, or 3? I must have been receiving someone else's number and not yours. Okay, let me think...3. I'll go with three. Hell, now I've got a 33% chance of being telepathic--that's a far better chance than I thought.

I actually got the number 13 when I was reading your question before I had got to the second line.

It is incredibly difficult to link with people online but it can be done and I have done it before, but it was only with a direct chat style conversation with the person. After about 5 minutes of conversation I could tell the style, colour and length of hair, that she had a dog, and even had an image of a small metal table with glass top that she had been discussing buying that same day (not with me).

So it is possible, but very unlikely from a single question.

Telepathy does not work that way. It is a right brain function so cannot receive alpha numerics. It only works with first order "basal words" and random symbols and angular relationships.

I don't know and wouldn't tell you if I did.. You've run this test at least 100 times and never disclosed the results, I'm done.
