Mothers questions about play group?
I'm looking into it for my 8 month old :) and was wondering what to look for when choosing one I have a few in my area and I want to choose a decent one as there is a fee per term and a weekly fee also, not that it's much. Do your babies enjoy it? Do you enjoy it? Thanks :)

I went to two playgroups with my kids. They are five years apart and I went to the same playgroups for each of them both times. I highly recommend it. Visit a few of them and just get a feel for them. Some provide food for the kids, others don't. Are the people friendly, are there lots of toys provided, is there a routine in place for the children......it's a great way to meet new mothers and your baby will too.

Play groups are great. They create a opportunity for your baby to interact with other babies and adults, and also the opportunity for you to meet other parents yourself.
Most playgroups I know of only require a small weekly/sessionly fee to cover toys, snacks, drinks and facilities.
At this age, a play group is great as opposed to a daycare (where baby is left by his/herself).
