If my engine ran with the distributor popped out, would that ruin my bearings? The distributor runs the oil pump.?

There's a collection of people here who keep asking bizarre theoretical questions, about unlikely scenarios.

If the distributor popped out of somewhere, the engine would lose it's ignition and stop.

Do you realize that if the distributor came straight upward from its place, the timing would change drastically?

Also, the PVC system vacuum would tend to pull the distributor IN, instead of let it OUT!

My rating of askers question = thumbs down.

How is the engine going to run if the distributor popped out?
