So there is this business called Roomscapes where customers pay to be locked in a room, hunting clues & riddle s in order to escape within 1 hour... I want to start a business called Live the Adventure, where players go in one of many different types of rooms where they may by solving hyroglyphic clues to find a treasure in 3 Pharo's Treasure Hunt or Obtain evidence while working both together & against each other in Double Agent Espianage for examples... These are some examples but my main concern is if we both have a murder mystery room, would that be too close in nature??? Roomscapes actually has one called Uptown Murder which was really just all about escaping the room, would my idea (completely different murder mystery) be too close to his???

I doubt it would but would like to make sure before committing to creating this.

Copyright only protects the creative and original "expression", not the idea, concept, function, process, system, or discoveries expressed. Trade dress, on the other hand, can protect a distinctive form of a business, where it is sufficiently distinctive in that market. A "mystery room" is not particularly distinctive, but your own business attorneys can advise you on the laws applicable under your circumstances.

No, not providing details on your question so we can accurately answer it is not against any laws. It will not result in answers that are very helpful to you, but you will not be arrested or sued for it.

No, that seems perfectly fine with the law. I hope you succeed and I hope this helped! :)
