LOTTO - My Win 3 played out in a different order. Should I stop playing that number or keeping playing until it comes out straight?

Honest to God, it just doesn't matter.
First of all, just because it came out in a different order makes no difference in the likelihood that your number will or won't come out. The odds are 1 out of 1,000 each and every day. Your number could come out 2 days in a row, and the chance that it would come out again would still be 1 out of 1,000. Your number could not come out for 5 years in a row, and guess what? The chance that it comes out is still 1 out of 1,000.
Here's what you really need to know. Let's say you're playing that number Straight for $1.00. With a 1 out of 1,000 chance of hitting, you SHOULD get paid $1,000 if it wins. Look it up. You don't get paid $1,000! In fact, depending on your state, you likely only get paid about $500 for that win. That's only HALF of what is a fair payout for that win!!!
By the way, perhaps you actually played this number BOX, which means you won a small amount of money for the mixed up order. It doesn't matter. Whatever you won was HALF of what a fair payout should have been for the back-up (any order) part of the bet.
At a 50% payback rate, it makes playing the lottery the worst bet on the planet. No other standard form of gambling comes even close to being this bad a bet. The lottery is truly a TAX on the poor and on the ignorant. You might as well light a match to your money.
