I have a question about uber?
I want to drive for uber, however my insurance company has said they'll deny the claim if anything were to happen (accident, etc.). So my question is are there any insurance companies, such as geico, that would accept the claim if I were driving a passenger and anything were to happen? Any and all answers greatly appreciated. 10 points for best answer!

Uber already has insurance for the passenger.

Yup, there are insurance companies who will write taxi cabs. It's a specialty line of insurance, but you can find it.
You forgot to say where you live, though. Insurance companies may work across a nation and many are international, but auto insurance is entirely a jurisdictional (state, province, etc) thing. There are no international laws governing it.
And it's not going to be cheap. Most insurers won't touch a taxi cab (of any kind) with a ten foot pole, and those who do charge an arm and a leg. Auto insurance prices are heavily based on the risk of an accident, and the more a vehicle is on the road the higher the risk becomes. A taxi is on the road as much as possible, because that's the only way they make money, and cab owners pay insanely high premiums.
A lot of uber drivers have found out the hard way that their personal auto policy doesn't cover them when they carry passengers for compensation, and they end up in a world of crushing debt.
You won't find this kind of insurance online, you need to call a broker or six just to find a provider. And try not to swear too much when you hear the price.

Uber, Lyft... they all mislead their drivers. First of all they greatly over exaggerate the amount of money you can make. Secondly, they tell you that they carry coverage for you if you're involved in an accident. What they DON'T tell you is that the accident will still be reported to your primary insurer. Once they find out you were driving for uber, they will cancel your policy and can bar you from insuring with them in the future. Private passenger policies simply aren't written to handle the risks associated with transporting people for profit. If you conceal this part time job from your insurer, you're going to cause yourself trouble.

The reason that any consumer auto policy would deny the claim is that your use of the car would exceed those covered under the policy. Uber has their own insurance that covers their drivers, but that'd be something you'd need to confirm with the company before signing on (and GET IT IN WRITING).

I'm certain that there are SOME insurance companies who would be willing to provide insurance for a COMMERCIAL use of your privately owned vehicle but it won't be cheap. Don't expect to get the same rates as your next door neighbor who only uses his car to commute back and forth to work.
Pick up a telephone. Make some calls.

You will likely need commercial insurance coverage but
You will have to ask the various insurance companies.

Commercial insurance - you MUST have public liability insurance and car cover that includes "plying for hire". If you do not do this you are driving without insurance and that is a serious criminal charge.
