Study abroad programs for college graduates?
By college graduates, I mean those who've graduated from an undergraduate program, but haven't gone on/aren't going to graduate school.
Throughout my undergraduate education, I've been unable to participate in any study abroad programs because of other classes I needed to take to fulfill major and graduation requirements. Since I was a transfer student from a community college, my time was limited since I was expected to graduate within 2-3 years. Because some of the classes I needed were offered only during certain quarters, I could not go on any study abroad programs because if I did, I would have missed my chances of taking and getting major credit in those classes.
Now that I will be graduating at the end of Spring, I will have time to study abroad, but I don't know what programs are there for recent graduates like me. Every university study abroad program I know of only takes in undergraduate students who are currently enrolled or will be enrolled in university, or students who are actually in graduate school. There's nothing for undergraduate alumni. I really want to go study abroad in Japan to hone my Japanese skills (was a Japanese major in college)

Just go do a 3 month course in a Japanese language school in Japan. Comicbook is right - you can't be an exchange student, unless you are currently enrolled in a university.

If you want to do a study abroad program, you have to be enrolled in a school.
