John Carver a Geordie managing the toon makes the win a lot more sweeter?

As much as you lot think the north east teams are irrelevant you can't deny that the north east derbies are one of the best if not the best derbies in the prem and that the fans of the north east blow most the top teams fans away with our support. Henry couldn't even believe the atmosphere at the stadium of delight today his first time at a wear-tyne derby and Defoe being emotional at the wear tyne derby.

You hear it all the time in matches like this who ever wins gets bragging rights and that couldn't be more true in this derby nearly every work place in the north east is a mixture between Sunderland and Newcastle fans and to win five in a row is ******* incredible and we have deserved every win.

SO TO THE QUESTION WHAT DO YOU THINK OF THE WEAR-TYNE DERBY AND WHAT DID YOU THINK OF THE MATCH TODAY?

Its clear the Northeast Derby is the best in English football, in terms of passion. Whenever a new player come in, all the local media and their team mates talk about is the Derby, also managers tend to get judged by derby results. I can imagine both clubs being bought by rich owners who actually want the clubs to be a success. I can't imagine the hype and the reaction if both get taken over by ambitious owners so they can compete for top 4 every season.

I don't know what is going on, but both Sunderland Newcastle were my prediction to finish in top 10 for the last 3 seasons, I don't know if its the managers, players or simply its a Northeast thing but the players both teams have has the potential to finish in the top 10 but they need to be consistent.

Niall Quinn wants Advocaat to manage Sunderland next season too, which is interesting because he thinks Advocaat will do better than Di Canio and Poyet.

Good win but you should be worried that you only won 1-0.

Shambolic display of finishing, Sunderland will have to start finishing chances if they are to stay up. Tougher games to come than Newcastle.
