Spayed dog bleeding vaginally?
My dog is 3 now, she was spayed 2.5 years ago. I've never noticed her bleed since then but today my bf and I adopted a male dog and I noticed my female bleeding from her vulva. I checked for sores or cuts but the bleeding is definately coming from her vulva. It's not a lot but it's there. Normally I'd think that she had ovarian tissue left behind from her spat but this is the first time I've noticed her bleeding. Because this is the first time I've noticed this I'm really concerned. Anybody know what this could be?

pay attention to see if she's scratching or licking down there too hard. maybe something itches and she's causing it to happen if it's re-opening or whatever. is the male dog neutered? he might be trying have sex with her if he's not neutered and she's spayed but he might not know it. especially since it was relatively recent.
if it continues for a couple days, take both dogs to your local vet.
good luck.

It could be cystitis or some other urinary tract infection. Please take her to the vet so she can get the proper treatment.
