Birth Control change?

I have been using the same birth control for almost 10 years (Notrel 1/35). It's always worked liked a charm for me with reducing cramps and making sure my periods are regular. Although I have noticed the last couple periods, things have been different. When I take my first two or three sugar pills, I can tell I am MUCH more emotional compared to several months ago when I was taking them. Could the pills be messing with my hormones since I've been on then so long? In addition, I have been more stressed the last couple periods as I was dealing with some health issues. I have my annual PAP scheduled in a couple weeks and will mention it, but was just curious to see if anyone else has experienced this before?

I had been taking Genress Fe for about a year and I had always felt like I wasn't myself while on them. I would become moody when there was no reason to and my mood swings were out of this world. So I definitely believe that birth control can mess with your hormones because that's what they are, hormones. I'm currently doing the birth control shot depo provera and I love it.
