Autism is not defined as someone loving the tag on a blanket.

If you have concerns of your own, speak to your child's doctor or a professional at her school.

"Everyone" who is telling you this needs to not be telling you things that they have no knowledge of or experience with

    Let me tell you something.

I have loved tags on my PJs and Nighties since I was really young. I'm 28 and most nights I will go to sleep stroking a label/tag.

I don't have autism - it's just a weird quirk I picked up and haven't grown out of it.

Okay, I'm not sure what the correlation between blanket tags and autism is, but if everyone says it, it must be true.

It is called over interest, may not be actual autism, might be learn difficulties.

take the tag off and see if she does it with anything else, if she does it is called over interest.

If she has something like a rattle and stares at it i am sorry it is a recognised sign.

perhaps as so many thumbs down the asker did not want to hear the truth of her question, in that case why on earth ask ?

Source(s): my son has global learning difficulties and i have vast experience with the askers question. over interest is what is meant, looking or staring at something too long or playing too long with something.

Kids often get attached to random stuff,,no more meaning than that,it passes.

I highly doubt it, everyone has little quirks when they are kids.
