Any ideas on a proposal essay?
BTW a proposal essay is an essay in which you present a problem and a solution. I don't want to do it Homelessness because our teacher kept using that as an example and I don't want to write an essay on a topic i'm sure she's read a hundred times. she said we could pick a topic about our community or workplace.
a couple months ago there was a HUGE 200 car pile up near here due the snow, icy roads and speeding. could that be a possible topic??speeding??

Yes, that could be an issue. You state that where you live, icy and snowy roads are a major cause of accidents. Research statistics from the DOT in your state or contact the local PD to find out how common it is. Then figure out ways to combat it. Maybe you would propose digital speed limit signs that lower the maximum speed during and after storms, and that you have more officers on the street issuing citations.

Yes. There is a direct correlation between speed and road conditions causing accidents. I would suggest that the problem (road conditions caused by weather) could be alleviated by a solution - perhaps using signs that give a suggested speed limit from your state police based on the weather? Many people don't realize that speeds should be as low as 25 mph based on visibility and conditions.
